i had a fantastic stay at bella vista resort belize! the staff treated us like family, and the beach was stunning. snorkeling adventures were easily booked, and the food was top-notch.

Arriving to a unit that hadn’t been properly cleaned and found chips all over the floor was a letdown. A persistent sewer smell emanating from the toilets became unpleasant by day five, while the bedroom with the sewer pipe running above the bed makes for a noisy night when someone flushes upstairs. The beach area is limited, fitting only four chairs, making it difficult to enjoy the water unless dining. Additionally, a broken water faucet knob led to an overhaul of the entire fixture, and the flickering closet light resulted in the installation of a new lighting fixture—all felt like a routine of repairs. The shallow pool barely qualifies as a plunge pool, leaving much to be desired in terms of swimming amenities.

The location was excellent, allowing us to escape the busy parts of San Pedro while still being close to local attractions. The staff went above and beyond, ensuring our family felt welcomed and well taken care of. The outdoor dining area offered a delightful atmosphere, especially during dinner with the sea breeze. We truly appreciated the garden view, which added to the peaceful ambiance of our stay.

Unfortunately, there were maintenance issues in our room that detracted from our comfort.

The staff treated us like family and even remembered our names, which made our eight-night stay super special. Relaxing by the lovely pool and indulging in their amazing breakfast jelly was a highlight! Just a heads up, the beach area could use some improvement, but it didn’t ruin our time at all. 🌴

While the limited beach access made ocean enjoyment challenging, the staff's accommodating nature coupled with delicious smoked meat dishes kept the spirits high. However, maintenance issues like a persistent unpleasant odor and minor repairs in the room detracted from the overall experience.

Just a nice choice for a short stayover in San Pedro with extraordinarily good value for money. The cozy restaurant by the pool serves delightful meals and offers fresh seafood dishes, making dining convenient and enjoyable. Bring essentials from nearby stores to save on costs during your stay.

Our week here was lovely! The staff were friendly and the grounds kept spotless while we enjoyed spacious and comfy accommodations. A real bonus was the upgrade we got due to a room issue. Cheers to that!
